As citizen of Pakistan don't we all wonder why is it that when a fresh graduate comes in the market and search for jobs there aren't any available and ones which are, they are given to the elite students out of universities like IBA, LUMS and now CBM. What about rest of the universities?? Well they just aren't good enough.
So, do we blame ourselves for not getting in one of these universities ? or the universities we graduated from? or the people in the market for not hiring or even considering these students? or do we blame the government for not doing enough to create jobs?
Did you know that Government of Pakistan decided to allocate Rs 663 billion for Public Sector Development Projects?
Did you know federal government share is Rs 280 billion?
Did you know provincial government share is Rs 373 billion?
The rest of 10 billion were for reconstruction and rehabilitation of victims of natural disasters.
Remember these development projects create jobs in the market. If you want a job REMEMBER this SUPPORT DEVELOPMENT PROJECTS. The most unfortunate part, most of the students don't really understand the grave need for these development projects.
Due to which government decided to CUT Rs 100 billion from these FEDERAL DEVELOPMENT PROJECTS (FDPs). And no one protested against it. You want to know why? Lack of awareness. Students are not aware of this, the poor is not aware of this. One wonders what to do?
So, we are now left with Rs 180 billion for the |FDPs . Now the govt. economic team is asking the parliament to CUT Rs 140 billion more. And if that happens there will only be Rs 40 billion left for FDPs, now we all know where that money will go, which certainly isn't in development projects.
What about provincial development projects?
Well Punjab government is doing a good job in development sector while contributing in its on going development programs, they have approved addition 15 new projects. But on the other hand they did present Rs 193 billion Annual Development budget. Word of advice for my Punjabi brothers while Punjab might be progressing far better then other provinces but too much disparity will create hatred and division, which isn't beneficial for anyone. Support and push for progress in other provinces as well, support from the most populated province is essential to bring about change.
Amazingly Sindh government is only working on 5 projects while having investment in 4 other projects and 2 public private partnership projects. Just to enlighten my friends across the nation, I have been to interior Sindh and trust me when I say the poverty there is just shocking. I have had the privilege to go to interior Punjab, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa and Azad Kashmir and seen poverty there as well. No comparison to people living in interior Sindh, the worst out of all. And no one is doing anything to change it.
Khyber Pakhtunkhwa got Rs 60 billion for its development program, although the development of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa is slow but over the years the province has developed more then Sindh and Balochistan.
Well I am amazed to see that in Balcohistan there is only 1 development project and thats vegetation. Please refer to site below
So, question is what should be done?
While government is doing less to improve the state of the nation. Instead its also making sure that they get worse, where are the people of this country?
MOST IMPORTANTLY where are the STUDENTS of this country?? Whatever province you may belong to, please remember this we need each others support to bring about change in the nation. To improve this nation. WE NEED NATIONAL UNITY.
Remember the three key words of founder of Pakistan Quaid-e-Azam Muhammad Ali Jinnah
- Unity
- Faith
- Discipline
The students of this country are the key. IF, I am writing today because I like you fear what is my future in this country. Will I have a job in future? Will it be safe for me to live in this country? Will I be able to support my family? The answer to all of this is No I won't.
But what I do believe in, is the potential in the students of Pakistan. You want to bring about change get out and make your voice heard. Students/ Young generation / Children of Pakistan need to be out on the street to make there voices heard. Protest against the development cuts, WE ARE LOSING JOBS IF WE ALLOW THEM TO DO THAT.
Get out raise your voice for transparency in all the budget allocation towards different development projects. WE NEED TO KNOW WHEN WILL NEW JOBS BE CREATED FOR US.\
Get untied and
MAKE YOUR VOICE HEARD.
Oh yeah, this is my first post so try have mercy on me when commenting. = p.. = )
